Hyside Valve Overview
You might as well be up a creek without a paddle if you lose a raft valve in the middle of a wilderness river trip. Unless you carry a spare, that is. You'll find what you need here: Maravia AD-1 is a one-way valve that uses 6 screws and fits in a recessed valve boot on 1994 and earlier Maravias; AD-2 has a threaded base to fit in later models. Nylon Riken also fits in a valve boot with 6 screws, as does the metal Hyside. Leafield is a one-way valve used after 1994 in AIRE inflatable's. New C-7 Leafield is used in AIRE rafts and Maravia catarafts, Spiders and self-bailing floors, replacing the Halkey-Roberts. Replacement of a Riken, Hyside or AD-1 valve requires a Phillips screwdriver; Halkey-Roberts needs a Valve Tool, as do the AD-2 and Leafield valves.
